Ingredients
  

Ingredients: - 

For Aloo Masala Filling: -

  • Boiled Potatoes – 5-6
  • Green chillies – 2-3
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - ½ tsp
  • Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
  • Dry mango powder – ¼ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2-3 tbsp
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

For Assembling: -

  • Bread slices – 4 white, whole wheat, or multigrain
  • Butter or ghee for toasting or grilling

Instructions
 

Method: -

    Preparing the Aloo Masala Filling: -

    • Start by peeling the boiled potatoes.
    • Take a mixing bowl and mash the potatoes until they are smooth and free of lumps.
    • Set it aside.
    • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, add cumin seeds and green chillies.
    • Let them splutter and release their aroma.
    • Add the mashed potatoes to the pan. Mix everything well.
    • Now add red chilli powder, garam masala, amchur powder and salt.
    • Mix everything well and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potato mixture absorbs the flavors of the spices.
    • Turn off the heat, garnish with fresh coriander leaves, and let the Aloo Masala filling cool down slightly.

    Assembling the Sandwich:

    • Take a bread spice and place a generous portion of aloo masala filling, spreading it evenly.
    • Carefully place the other bread slice on top, to form a sandwich.
    • In the same way, prepare all the other sandwiches.
    • Before toasting or grilling apply some butter on both sides of the sandwich.
    • Place the prepared sandwich on the sandwich maker or tawa whatever you have and toast it until both sides turn golden brown and crispy.
    • Remove the sandwich from the sandwich maker or tawa, let it cool for a minute, and then slice it diagonally into two halves.
    • Your Spicy Aloo Masala Sandwich/ Potato Sandwich is ready to serve! Enjoy it hot with your favourite chutney or ketchup.
