How to make Methi Ka Paratha (15 mins) – BEST version EVER

Methi ka paratha or methi paratha is a healthy, tasty and nutritious paratha made with wheat flour & fresh methi (or fenugreek) leaves and some spices

Ingredients
  

  • 250 grams Methi
  • 4 cups Wheat flour
  • 7-8 Green chillies 
  • 10-15 Garlic cloves 
  • 2 Onion chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Water for kneading
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions
 

Making the chilli garlic paste: -

  • Take a mixing jar and add garlic cloves and green chillies.
  • Grind it.

Preparing the Paratha dough: -

  •  Take a large mixing bowl and add the flour.
  •   Add chopped methi leaves, onion and prepared chilli & garlic paste.
  • Now add salt to taste.
  •  Mix all the ingredients without adding water.
  • After mixing everything nicely, add water as required and knead the dough.
  • Methi paratha dough is ready. (refer video for more clarity.)

Rolling and shaping the parathas: -

  • Pinch out a small ball-sized dough and dust it with flour.
  • Now roll it with light hands into a round shape paratha or roti.
  • The paratha is ready to cook.

Cooking the parathas: -

  • Heat a Tawa and place the paratha on medium flame.
  •  Cook until crisp and golden on both sides.
  • Methi paratha is ready to serve.
  • Serve it hot with Aam ka achar & Mirchi ka achar.
