  • Take out the roasted sesame seeds or til on a plate and let them cool down.
  • Take a mixing jar and add the sesame seeds or til. (make sure it has cooled down completely.)
  • Grind it into a coarse grind mixture and keep it aside.

  • Now in the same pan, add 1 tbsp of ghee or oil (whatever you prefer).
  • Add 200 grams of jaggery.
  • Keep mixing and breaking the jaggery pieces.
  • Heat the jaggery on low flame until it melts completely and fully dissolved.
  • Stir continuously to avoid burning and overcooking the jaggery (gud).
  • Jaggery syrup is ready.

Preparing the Laddoo Mixture

  • Add the grounded roasted sesame seeds to the melted jaggery and mix well.
  • Turn off the flame and keep mixing until the mixture starts to come together.

Making the Laddoos

  • Quickly start making the laddoos or sweet balls by first dipping your palm in cold water to avoid burning your palm.
  • Now without wasting time, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls. (don’t forget to dip your hand in cold water before touching the hot mixture, to avoid burns.)
  • Place the laddoos on the plate and let them cool completely.
  • Serve and enjoy. Store the laddoos in an air-tight container to make them last longer.
