Pasta can be made in different sauces but that tangy taste of the tomatoes and the spiciness in the red sauce is unbeatable. This Tangy Red Sauce Pasta can be made quickly with very few ingredients, available in every kitchen.

So do try it and make your kids and family happy with something different in taste than the regular boring food.

The whole step by step process of making this recipe is given below.

Ingredients:

  1. Pasta (penne or macaroni) – 2cups (or 1 small packet). I used 1 small packet macaroni
  2. Oil – 3-4 tbsp
  3. Onion – 3-4 medium size (diced)
  4. Capsicum – 1 (diced)
  5. Pasta sauce red – 3-4 tbsp
  6. Red Chilli sauce – to taste
  7. Tomato sauce – 1tbsp
  8. Oregano – 1tbsp
  9. Black pepper – 1tsp
  10. Salt – to taste

How to make Tangy Red Sauce Pasta

Preparation of pasta:
  1. In a pan take 4-5 cups of water and heat it over medium-high flame.
  2. When the water starts to boil add some oil (so that the pasta doesn’t stick to each other}.
  3. Add the pasta and 1/2 tbsp of salt.
  4. Boil the pasta and keep a check so that it’s not overcooked.
  5. When the pasta is boiled, drain out the water and rinse the boiled pasta in cold water.
  6. Keep it aside and start preparing the sauce.
Preparation of the tangy red sauce:
  1. Take a pan and heat the oil in it over medium flame.

 

  1. When the oil gets heated up add the diced onions and capsicum.

 

  1. Mix well and sauté them for 1-2 mins on medium flame.

 

  1. Next, we will add the sauces – red pasta sauce (you can get it in the market), chilli sauce (red) and tomato sauce.

 

  1. After adding the sauces mix them well and add little water.

 

  1. Cook for 1-2 mins until you get a good consistency of the sauce.

 

  1. Once the sauce is ready, add the boiled pasta and mix well.

 

  1. Now we will finally add the seasonings – oregano or dry mixed herbs, black pepper and a little bit of salt (be careful while adding salt as the pasta sauce already contains salt).

 

  1. Again mix well and cook for 1-2min on medium flame.

 

  1.  The TANGY RED SAUCE PASTA is ready to be served hot.
