Green chutney| Chutney (without garlic) for Snacks, Sandwiches & Chaat

Green Chutney recipe that can be added or served with different snacks and sandwiches like- ragda chaat, dahi puri, Bombay sandwich, green cheese sandwich, kachori chaat, samosa chaat, etc.

This green chutney or hari chutney is made with fresh coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies and some spices without garlic or ginger. But if you want, you can add garlic and ginger to this same recipe and make a garlic-ginger version of this green chutney.

It is refreshing and used as a taste enhancer in different Indian Snacks and Street food. But it can also be served as a side dish with snacks like – samosa, khasta kachori, dhokla, aloo pakora, paneer pakoda, methi paratha, aloo paratha, etc.

This green chutney stays good for 2-3 days in the refrigerator, so you can prepare and refrigerate it beforehand for and chaat party or other occasions.

How to make Green chutney for Snacks, Sandwiches & Chaat| Coriander chutney recipe (without garlic)

Ingredients: –

  1. Fresh coriander leaves: – 1 small bunch
  2. Mint leaves: – 1/4th small bunch
  3. Green chillies: – 2-3
  4. Cumin seeds: – ½ tsp
  5. Black salt: – ½ tsp
  6. Salt: – to taste
  7. Lemon juice: – 1-2 tsp
  8. Water for grinding

Method: –

  1. Rinse the coriander and mint leaves nicely in running water and put them in a mixing jar.
  2. Add green chillies, cumin seeds, black salt and salt.
  3. Next, add 1-2 tsp of lemon juice along with some water. (Don’t add too much water)
  4. Grind it into a smooth paste.
  5. Pour the chutney into a serving bowl.
  6. Refrigerate and use this green chutney as required for chaat, sandwiches, vada pav, etc.

  1. Rinse the coriander and mint leaves nicely in running water and put them in a mixing jar.
