The food you prepare for your baby must be healthy as well as tasty.
Today we are going to make one such healthy and delicious recipe that is full of flavours and nutrients and is super easy to make.
So, I am talking about the all-time favourite dish of all the North Indians – “DAL CHAWAL“. Yes “dal chawal” is one such food that we are never bored of is a must included dish in our daily lives.
We may travel a lot, try different-different new cuisines and eat a variety of things but, after a day or two we start longing for our simple and delicious “Ghar ka dal chawal“.
The reason behind this is we have grown eating this DAL CHAWAL and it is the best thing to include in our daily lives.
Dal Chawal is said to have a lot of nutritional value as it is a perfect combination of proteins, carbs, minerals and vitamins.
In most of our Indian families, when the baby is 8-10 months old, we don’t totally rely on cerelac and we start giving homemade dishes to our babies such as khichdi, mashed banana, sooji ka halwa, dal ka pani (lentil soup), dal chawal, etc.
So, today I am going to make Dal for small babies and toddlers and the whole recipe with images at each step and video is discussed below.
As this recipe is for babies (above 8 months) and toddlers, I am not going to add any spices. (But if you want to fry it afterwards, you can check-out dal fry recipe as well.)
You can simply feed this Dal as a soup to your baby or you can mix it with some steam rice to make it more solid and a tummy full for your baby.
NOTE:- Always adjust the consistency of the food according to your babies comfort.
