Strawberry ice cream is a very popular flavour of ice cream made with fresh strawberries or strawberry flavouring.
“Ice cream” as the name suggests, is a frozen dish that is typically eaten as a dessert and also as a snack in some parts of the world.
It is made with milk or cream and is flavoured using vanilla, cocoa or with fresh fruits such as strawberries, mangoes, custard apple, jackfruit, peaches, etc.
Normally, while making ice-creams people use different thickening and binding agents like GMC – Glycerol Mono Stearate and CMC -Carboxy/Methyl Cellulose. These agents may help in making your ice cream but they are somewhere harmful as well
In this recipe for Creamy Dreamy Strawberry Ice cream, we will not use any preservatives or binding and thickening agents, instead, we will use all the pure and natural ingredients.
A perfect Spring or Summer Dessert …!!!
This gloriously pink homemade Strawberry Ice cream is made by blending heavy cream, sugar and fresh strawberries in an ice cream maker, but it is so worth the investment!
All right, so, let’s talk about the method and the ingredients used in making this amazing ice cream.
Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream |A Frozen Dessert| Pure and Delicious
Ingredients:-
- Fresh Strawberries – 250 grams
- Heavy Cream – 1 litre
- Powdered Sugar – 1 cup
- Honey -1-2 tbsp
Method:-
- Wash the strawberries.
- Remove the sepal.
- Chop the strawberries into small pieces. Depending on your choice make them big or small as you want.
- In a mixing bowl, add the chopped strawberries, sugar and honey.
- Mix it nicely.
- Now cover the lid and allow the mixture to sit for 15-20 minutes.
- After 15-20 minutes, mash the strawberries with the help of a fork or potato masher, until there are no big pieces left. (Note: you can also blend it in a mixer and make a puree. But I prefer strawberry chunks in the ice cream, it tastes great both ways.!!)
- Add the heavy cream to a large mixing bowl.
- Beat the cream with an electric beater or hand blender.
- Add the strawberry mix.
- Whisk it again.
- Pour the mix into the ice cream maker and follow the instructions on the user manual of your machine. (Mine took 30-40 minutes)
- Once churned, if you like it soft, go ahead and serve. But if you prefer a bit thicker, chill it in the freezer for 7-8 hours (in extreme summer) and 3-4 hours in normal temperatures.
- Creamy, Dreamy Eggless Strawberry Ice cream is ready. Scoop it and serve it.
- Garnish it with some fresh strawberry chunks and serve it chilled.
