Chow mein/ Chowmein is a Chinese Stir Fry noodle with lots of veggies and can have both veg & non-veg versions.
Chow mein or Chowmein has gained a lot of popularity in recent years and has become a popular street food across the globe. Being so popular across the countries, it has been made in different ways with a lot of variations in different places.
Here, I am sharing my street-style chowmein recipe, an Indo-Chinese fusion, that will give you the exact “thelle wala swaad” we usually carve for.
The recipe is very simple and gets ready in no time. In this recipe, I have used local noodles, available in any grocery shop along with some traditional sauces and some veggies. But you are always free to customize it according to your choice and needs.
This street-style noodle can be a nice starter at your kid’s birthday party, as the kids just love chowmein. Or you can pair it with some Chilli Chicken, Chicken in Oyster Sauce, Chilli Mushroom, Manchurian, etc. and have it for your dinner/lunch if you want.
So, let us quickly check out the recipe. The full step-by-step recipe with images at each step is discussed below:
