Tomato Onion Fried Chutney Recipe| Tamatar ki Chutney| Tamatar Pyaz ki Baghri Chutney

Simple & Easy Tomato Onion Fried Chutney is a quick escape if you want to make something quick or if you are short of vegetables.

Tomato Onion Fried Chutney is a simple recipe that requires very few ingredients i.e. “no tam-jham“. This tomato onion chutney has the tanginess of the tomatoes as well as the spiciness of the chillies and all in just a few easy steps.

This tomato onion chutney can be enjoyed with aloo paratha, plain paratha, and dal-chawal and can be used as a perfect dip with snacks like mangode, cheele, etc. or can also be used as a sandwich spread.

I have made this recipe with only 3 basic ingredients:- onion, tomatoes and green chillies with a few basic seasonings i.e. cumin, salt, red chilli powder and chopped coriander leaves for garnishing.

Many people add garlic and ginger as well but I like to keep it simple and tasty, as I don’t like the way ginger-garlic dominates the whole taste and the actual taste of the tomato and onion is lost.

The full the step by step recipe with images is discussed below. Remember, in this tomato onion chutney, the number of tomatoes will always be higher than the onions.
