This Green Cheese Sandwich is a cheesy, spicy cucumber sandwich with the added flavours of freshly ground green chutney that make it even more tempting and flavorful.

Green Cheese Sandwich is a refreshing and delicious sandwich recipe that fits perfectly well for a quick tea-time snack or a fun lunch box recipe. It can also be prepared as a simple breakfast dish on a lovely Sunday morning.

A Spicy & Cheesy Chutney sandwich may sound odd to many people at first, but trust me, once you try this sandwich, you will also become a fan of it just like my husband.

Cheese cucumber sandwich

The first time my husband heard about this sandwich, he was like – chutney sandwich ??? and now he has become such a big fan that he keeps asking me to make it again and again.

It is a simple and quick cucumber cheese chutney sandwich recipe that can be prepared within 10-15 minutes and involves no cooking.

It is the best breakfast or snack recipe for bachelors as it involves no cooking and is made with just a few basic ingredients.

In summer, this refreshing sandwich can also be served with a glass of watermelon juice or watermelon mojito as a perfect breakfast or evening snack. The full step-by-step recipe with images at each step is discussed below. Do try it out and Don’t forget to check the recipe video !!!

How to make Green Cheese Sandwich | Cucumber Cheese Chutney Sandwich | Instant Sandwich Recipe: –

Ingredients: –

  1. Bread – 3-6 slices
  2. Cucumber – 1 (sliced)
  3. Butter – for toasting/ grilling

For green chutney: –

  1. Fresh coriander
  2. Fresh mint leaves – 10-15
  3. Green chilli – 1-2
  4. Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
  5. Black salt – ½ tsp
  6. Salt – to taste
  7. Lemon juice – 1-2 tsp
  8. Water for grinding the chutney

Method: –

Preparing the Green Chutney: – 

  1. Take a mixing jar and add green chilli, fresh coriander and mint leaves.
  2. Next add the cumin seeds, black salt, plain salt and lemon juice.
  3. Grind it into a smooth paste.
  4. The green chutney is ready.

Preparing the sandwich: –

  1. Take 3-6 slices of bread and remove the sides with a sharp knife.
  2. Now take a bread slice and apply butter. Make sure the butter is applied evenly at all corners as well.
  3. Layer this bread with thin cucumber slices.
  4. Sprinkle some salt and pepper.
  5. Now take the second bread slice and evenly apply the green chutney.
  6. Turn & Place it over the first layer.
  7. Apply butter & some more green chutney.
  8. Layer it again with cucumber slices.
  9. Sprinkle some salt & pepper.
  10. Place a cheese slice over it.
  11. Now take the third bread slice and apply butter.
  12. Turn it and place it over the second layer.
  13. The green cheese sandwich is ready.
  14. Slice it into two with a sharp knife.
  15. Green Cheese Sandwich is ready. Garnish it with some wafers and serve it immediately or place it in the refrigerator for a few hours, if you like it cold.
