How to make Lauki ki Sabji| बिना लहसुन प्याज और कम मसाले वाली लौकी की सब्जी | Ghiya ki Sabji . Step by step recipe with images at each step: –
Ingredients:
- 1 medium-sized Lauki (Bottle Gourd), peeled and diced
- 1/2 tomato, finely chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1-2 dry red chilli
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp red chili powder (optional)
- Salt to taste
- 1-2 tbsp oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Method:-
- Prepare the Lauki: –
- Start by washing the lauki thoroughly. Peel the skin and dice the lauki into small cubes. Set aside.
- Tempering:
- Heat oil in a cooker over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the cumin seeds and dry red chilli. Let them splutter for a few seconds until they release a fragrant aroma.
- Cooking the Lauki:
- Add the diced lauki to the cooker. Stir well to coat the lauki with the tempered cumin seeds and chilli.
- Add all the dry spices along with the salt. Mix everything well, ensuring the lauki is evenly coated with the spices.
- Now add half-chopped tomato and mix it well.
- Cover the lid and cook on medium heat until one whistle. Add a little water if required.
- Final Touch: –
- Once the lauki is cooked, remove the lid and mix it once.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
