Lehsun wale Aloo | Garlic Potato | Simple Dinner recipe

Lehsun wale aloo or garlic potato is a very simple and easy dinner recipe, that is made with only 2 basic ingredients – potato & garlic, along with a few spices.

Aloo/ potato is a veggie that is loved by all, especially kids. It is one vegetable that can be paired with almost all other vegetables.

Be it aloo paratha, aloo palak, aloo methi, aloo tamatar, aloo gobhi, aloo matar and whatnot, it is the favourite of all.

‘Aloo ki sabzi’ has always been popular because you may be short of vegetables a few times, but potatoes are always present in our kitchen.

It is comfort food that can be prepared in various ways. Lehsun wale aloo/ Garlic potato is one such recipe that you will love to make as it is very simple yet delicious.

Lehsun wale aloo can be paired with plain/ butter chapatis, parathas or poori along with some green chutney or tomato chutney, which will add a twist to it. And if you feeling lazy and don’t want to make any chutney, then you can simply have some ‘aam ka achar’ along with it.

Ingredients:-

  1. Potatoes/aloo – 6-7 sliced with skin
  2. Mustard Oil/ sarson ka tel – 6-7 tbsp
  3. Garlic/ lehsun – 12-15 cloves chopped
  4. Dry red chilli/ sukhi lal mirch – 3-4
  5. Mustard seeds/ methi dana – ½ tsp
  6. Salt to taste

How to make Lehsun wale Aloo | Garlic Potato | Simple dinner recipe. Step by Step recipe with images:-

Method:-

  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and without removing the skin, cut them into medium-thick slices.
  1. Keep it aside to remove the excess water.
  1. Now heat a pan or kadhai and add oil.

  1. Heat the oil heated and add mustard seeds, dry red chilli and chopped garlic.

  1. Let them crackle for a few seconds.

  1. Now add the sliced potatoes.

  1. Add salt according to the taste and mix it.

  1. Cook for about 15-20 minutes on medium flame, until it is nice and golden.

  1. Keep stirring at regular intervals, to avoid sticking and burning.

  1. After about 20 minutes, our lehsun wale aloo/ garlic potato is ready to be served.

  1. Just Serve it on the dish along with hot chapatis and our dinner is sorted.😊
