How to make a Simple Aloo Masala Sandwich| Potato Sandwich Recipe without any fancy fusion. Step by Step recipe with images at each step: –
Ingredients: –
For Aloo Masala Filling: –
- Boiled Potatoes – 5-6
- Green chillies – 2-3
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
- Dry mango powder – ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2-3 tbsp
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
For Assembling: –
- Bread slices – 4 (white, whole wheat, or multigrain)
- Butter or ghee for toasting or grilling
Method: –
Preparing the Aloo Masala Filling: –
- Start by peeling the boiled potatoes.
- Take a mixing bowl and mash the potatoes until they are smooth and free of lumps.
- Set it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, add cumin seeds and green chillies.
- Let them splutter and release their aroma.
- Add the mashed potatoes to the pan. Mix everything well.
- Now add red chilli powder, garam masala, amchur powder and salt.
- Mix everything well and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potato mixture absorbs the flavors of the spices.
- Turn off the heat, garnish with fresh coriander leaves, and let the Aloo Masala filling cool down slightly.
Assembling the Sandwich: –
- Take a bread spice and place a generous portion of aloo masala filling, spreading it evenly.
- Carefully place the other bread slice on top, to form a sandwich.
- In the same way, prepare all the other sandwiches.
- Before toasting or grilling apply some butter on both sides of the sandwich.
- Place the prepared sandwich on the sandwich maker or tawa whatever you have and toast it until both sides turn golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the sandwich from the sandwich maker or tawa, let it cool for a minute, and then slice it diagonally into two halves.
- Your Spicy Aloo Masala Sandwich/ Potato Sandwich is ready to serve! Enjoy it hot with your favourite chutney or ketchup.
